Improve Safeguarding Training
Safeguarding is everybody's business, and we all have a moral duty to report concerns about harm and abuse. But the principles of safeguarding may be unfamiliar to many staff who interact with the public. The Safeguarding Game provides a broad overview of safeguarding and explores a range of safeguarding issues relevant to children and adults. The game is designed for anyone who has contact with children or adults who might be at risk. It is also a great 'refresher' for people with specific safeguarding responsibilities.
The Safeguarding Game helps players to identify the signs of harm or abuse, and gives them the confidence to escalate their concerns. It offers practical advice that helps players understand what to do if they are concerned that an adult or child is being abused or is at risk.
Face-to-face and online versions available

Reviews:
“A fabulous piece of kit for sparking conversations. This game is a perfect learning aid. It sparks discussion. Quashes myths and clarifies positions. It emphasises the need for team working in safeguarding as there are only 2 playing pieces so teams are formed.”

“We used the game at our stall near the public entrance for our event… it was well received and it helped attract members of the public to our event too.”
